Agriculture is the backbone of Uganda's economy, yet many smallholder farmers lack access to modern techniques and best practices. NABI's on-farm training program was created to bridge this gap.

Since its inception, our training program has reached over 1,000 farmers across Kyenjojo District and neighboring areas. We offer practical, hands-on training sessions covering everything from soil management and pest control to post-harvest handling and market access.

What makes our program unique is its practical approach. Rather than classroom-based theory, we bring farmers directly to our orchards and processing facility. They can see successful agricultural practices in action and ask questions in real-time.

Topics covered in our training sessions include: proper Hass avocado planting techniques, integrated pest management, organic fertilizer application, irrigation best practices, post-harvest handling to reduce losses, and market linkage strategies.

The impact has been remarkable. Farmers who have participated in our training program report an average 40% increase in yields within the first two seasons. Many have successfully transitioned from subsistence farming to commercial agriculture.

We are committed to expanding this program and reaching even more farmers in the coming years. Our goal is to create a network of well-trained, commercially successful farmers who can serve as role models and mentors in their own communities.
